Updating the Bluetooth driver can help resolve connection, pairing, or detection issues. Use the following steps to update the driver.

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Update the Bluetooth driver using Device Manager

  1. Select Start, type Device Manager, and then select it from the results.

  2. Expand Bluetooth to view the list of Bluetooth devices and adapters.

  3. Right-click your Bluetooth adapter, and then select Update driver.

  4. Select Search automatically for drivers.

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  6. Restart your PC after the update completes.

Note: If Windows reports that the best driver is already installed, you may still find a newer version on your PC manufacturer’s website.

Install Bluetooth drivers using Windows Update

  1. Select Start > Settings > Windows Update.

  2. Select Check for updates.

  3. Install any available updates, and then restart your PC.

Reinstall the Bluetooth driver

If updating the driver doesn’t help, try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

  1. Open Device Manager.

  2. Expand Bluetooth.

  3. Select and hold (or right‑click) your Bluetooth adapter, then select Uninstall device.

  4. Restart your PC.

Roll back the Bluetooth driver

If Bluetooth worked before a recent driver or Windows update, rolling back the driver might resolve the issue.

  1. Open Device Manager.

  2. Expand Bluetooth, then select and hold (or right‑click) your Bluetooth adapter and select Properties.

  3. Select the Driver tab, then select Roll Back Driver (if available).

  4. Follow the on‑screen instructions.

Download the latest driver from the PC manufacturer

If the issue continues, download and install the latest Bluetooth driver from your PC manufacturer’s support website.

  1. Go to your PC manufacturer’s support website.

  2. Search using your device model number.

  3. Download and install the latest Bluetooth driver for Windows 11.

  4. Restart your PC after installation.
